Martin Zerfas President & CEO
Martin Zerfas is a Certified Expert in Sustainable Finance and the former Program Manager for the International Farm Animal Welfare Program at Humane Society International. In this capacity, he worked with food companies, financial institutions and other stakeholders to improve farm animal welfare policies and on-farm practices. Mr. Zerfas represented the organization at events and meetings in Africa, Europe, North America and Oceania.
Previously, Mr. Zerfas worked as a commercial litigation attorney. He received his Certified Expert in Sustainable Finance Certificate from the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, his J.D. from the William & Mary School of Law and his B.A. from Connecticut College.

Andrew Lurie Vice President
Andrew Lurie is a licensed attorney and the former International Law and Trade Specialist at Humane Society International. In this capacity, he advised staff and consultants from dozens of countries and participated in litigation in federal and state courts. Mr. Lurie also represented the organization at the World Trade Organization. His work on the intersection of animal welfare and international trade has been cited in major news outlets, research articles and law review journals.
Mr. Lurie also worked at the New York office of Goodwin Proctor LLP, where his focus areas included audits and financing transactions. He received his J.D. from the New York University School of Law and his B.A. from Stanford University.
